RIP James Doohan

Yeah, I know I'm doing another one for someone who has passed away. Some of you may recognise the name, but where it was from. Having been a child of the 70's, all I was intrested in was space television shows and movies. I first saw him in a show that only lasted for three seasons on the air, but is still played today in re-runs. A lot of people can remember some of his catchier phrases, but few knew that he was a war hero in World War II.

Just so everyone knows who I'm talking about, all I can say is...

"Beam me up Scotty!"

Yes, Scotty has joined his fellow crew member Deforrest Kelly, aka Bones McCoy. It is a sad day for those of us who look forward to a bright future. He was one of the men that made us who we are. Because of him and the show they were on, we have gone to the moon, established a space station, have cell phones, and many other ideas that we see every day.
