I just got back into town

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a nice guy. I got an email from corporate asking for help with disaster relief in Port Arthur, Tx. I volunteered after getting my boss' blessing. I get there last Tuesday and I find out that it's not to help victims, but an oil company get back on it's feet. We worked our asses off the first 2 days without any thanks or help from the chef running the operation. The whole time the prick kept yelling at us saying that we are idiots and that we don't know what we are doing. That night the VP of OPS shows up to see how things are going. The 4 other guys are too scared of him to tell him what is really going on. But he sees how we are living and asks if one person would like to go help out the operation in Louisiana. I get drafted for it. On the drive over I tell him exactly what was going on.

The funny thing is that the 4 other guys have more experience than I do, but I take over the op in La. and it is the only one that ran smoothly. Things have gone so well that we are talking about creating a Disaster Recovery Program and guess who they want to advise on it. Yup, it looks like things are on the up and up for old Robster. I just got home a few hours ago and I had a girl that I know call me up and want to go out drinking, so I have to get ready for that.
