Think, People
Does anyone remember the devastation the Hurricane Rita wrought? It seems that the public has to remember than New Orleans was devastated by Katrina. In fact Katrina didn't cause the damage that they claim, it only accelerated the erosion of the levees. Katrina didn't "destroy" New Orleans, it only rained and blew on it. The dikes are what flooded it out. Guess who build those dikes? Right, the US Government.
Rita however, wiped entire communities off the map. Why aren't we raising more monies to help these people? I know why. Because these towns aren't "party" towns like New Orleans. These are communities full of hard-working people, that care for each other. New Orleans had one of the highest crime rates in the country and now most of the people responsible for this crime are scattered across the country (mostly in my state of Texas).
Crime in the city of Houston has risen over 90% of what it was last year. Nothing has changed there except for the huge influx of "victims" from Katrina. Why hasn't the federal government stepped in and eliminated this problem? I guess it's easier for them to deny a problem than accept that there is a problem. Case in point-WMD's in Iraq, they never had them. The invasion of a sovereign nation, not just once but twice in this administrations history. What are they hiding? Was 9/11 a carefully orchistrated power-play by the government? Not just to take power here, but over-seas. Everyone is paranoid of "terrorist" attacks here at home, but nothing has really changed since that day in 2001. The only "terrorists" we need to worry about are those that are elected into our government. Remember which group of elected officials allowed so many of our fellow countrymen to be killed on foreign soil, so on the next election you can honestly vote for those who care about "our" country and not those away from home.
Talk about it!
Peace (if we can ever have it)
